Membership

Select the Membership link on the Home page.  On the Membership page, you'll find the Membership form.  Fill in the Username field with the username you want, between 3 and 60 alphanumeric characters which can include middle spaces, but no leading or trailing spaces.  The username you choose does not have to be unique--so if you have a common name you want to use, you can use that name.  A password is automatically created for you.  Fill in the email address field.  Your email address must be unique and validated.  Select the Add Member button.  If the form field entries are valid, you will be taken to the Purchase Membership page, meaning you have been added as a Member.  An email is automatically sent to the email address you supplied.  As soon as your email address is validated, and your purchase through PayPal has cleared, you will be able to log in.  Your Membership was automatically created when you selected the Add Member button.

Email Validation

The information emailed to you should get to your email account quickly.  You should be able to just select the link in the email you receive to validate your email address.  However, if that doesn't work, in that email you will find an Email Validation sequence.  Select and copy that sequence in your email.  Go to "http://www.childrenreality.com/emvalidate.php".  There is also a Validate Email link on the Navigation area of the Home page.  Paste the Email Validation sequence into the Email Validation field.  Enter your email address in the email field.  Select the Validate button.  If you entered your information correctly in the Email Validation area, it should read, "Your email address has been validated."  There is a Log In link there if you want to log in immediately.

There is a Log In button at the top right of the Home page.  There is also a Log In link in the Navigation area of the Home page.  Enter your email and password in the appropriate fields.  Enter the code sequence displayed on the image.  The code sequence can be composed of numbers 1 through 9, uppercase A-N, and P-Z.  If you can't read the code sequence select Try Another.  If you don't want to go through the log in sequence again on your next visit, select the Keep me logged in checkbox.  This stores a cookie on your computer so you don't have to go through the log in sequence again.  Select the Log In button.  Cookies must be enabled in your web browser in order to skip the log in sequence on your next visit.  If for some reason you have cookies disabled, and don't know how to enable them again, on Internet Explorer, select the Tools menu.  Select Internet Options....  On the Internet Options dialog box that pops up, select the Privacy tab.  Select the Advanced button.  Deselect the Override automatic cookie handling option (no check mark).  Select the Ok button.  Reverse the procedure when you want to disable cookies again.

Reader

When you first log in, you are taken to Section 1 (The Fundamental Principle of Logic).  Below the main reading area, there is a navigation area.  The left button takes you to the previous section, and the right button takes you to the next section.  You can also use the list box to jump to different sections.  At the top of the list box is the Home option for the Home page.  Below that is the Download option to get to the Download page where you can download the whole webBook for offline reading.  Below that is the Fanbook option to get to the Fanbook page.  And so forth.  Some of the text in the main reading area is usually hidden.  You can use the scroll bar on the main reading area to scroll down.  If you click the mouse button over the main reading area, this will set the scroll bar of the main reading area to scroll when you press the up or down arrow.

Fanbook

The Name and Message fields are required.  You don't have to fill in the other information.  If you do give your email address, it will be displayed as a link.  If you have a web page or web site, you can supply your URL which will show up as a link.  HTML tags won't work--they'll just show up as literal characters.  Choosing Male or Female will, respectively, give your fanbook message a light blue or light pink background color.  The page navigation you can use to read what others have signed in the fanbook is at the bottom of the page.  The maximum message is 2000 characters, about 500 words.

Questions and Answers

The Questions and Answers area works similar to the Fanbook, except the author replies to questions, and you don't have to go through filling in your username, just your question.  The Q's and A's area is only available for Members.  Remember your Question number.
